'The worlds of corporate banking and fine art collide in this fun, fast-paced, heist film, starring Douglas Henshall and Stephen Fry, based on the novel by Ian Rankin.'

Mike McKenzie is a self-made businessman with time on his hands and a love of art. Bored by the comfort of his millions and grieving for the woman who walked out on him five years ago, he has an adventurous side just waiting to get him into trouble. When the love of his life, Laura Stanton, an art consultant and auctioneer, returns to Edinburgh, his world is turned upside down.

After an evening’s drinking with close friends, art expert Professor Dissing and banker Allan Cruickshank, Mike dreams up a plot to rip-off one of the most high profile targets in the country – Edinburgh’s private art collection owned by a national bank. They want to swap the paintings with very convincing fakes and Gissing knows just the student to copy the paintings.

Luckily, Edinburgh’s buildings of special interest are open to the public for a single day under the ‘Doors Open’ scheme. It’s the perfect opportunity for these three to pull off the perfect art heist. Who would know?

Entertaining, warn, witty and full of dramatic tension, this is a love story about a heist with heart.
