Finally, after a few months from premiering on A&E Australia, Aussie Pickers is available to own on DVD. The show has copped a lot of criticism mainly from fans of the original American series, but those supporters definitely over rule these haters!

Join Aussie Pickers Lucas Callaghan and Adam McDonald as they travel around Australia looking through attics, backyards and sheds in the search for forgotten relics. During their search for treasures Lucas and Adam meet some of Australia’s most iconic characters with more than a good yarn to tell.

Picking their way through Toowoomba in Queensland, Wagga Wagga in The Riverina through to Victoria and Tasmania, what the boys find may set you on your own treasure hunt. It may be your door they knock on next.

I've never been interested in programs of this nature previously, so it was by complete accident I chanced upon an episode of Aussie Pickers on the A&E Channel via Foxtel. That first episode contained so much Australian history which brought back so many memories from yester-year that it immediately encapsulated me - it left me wanting more!

After watching the series in full, it soon led to checking out the original version, American Pickers, which is also very enjoyable (although the Australian version is arguably better in my opinion!).

I think that fans of the original Pickers should definitely give this show a go. It is very similar to the original version, so much so that people have labelled it 'a rip-off' but that's kinda what you get with a show from the same creators and BTS team. Collectors and historians of Australian history will drool over this show...the low $20 price tag on this DVD will make them drool even more!

Overall, this is a definite must see show from A&E Australia. It could even spawn a new generation of Aussie Pickers.
