“Pauly’s Shorts” is a collection of  short films, career highlights and unseen banned footage from the career of Australia’s most politically incorrect comedy machine, Pauly Fenech. Stretching back to the very beginning of his career, “Pauly’s Shorts” takes us from the very first short film “Pizza Man”, that started the “Fat Pizza” series, all the way to the hit bogan comedy “Housos”. Featuring “Fat Pizza”, “Swift and Shift Couriers” and “Housos vs Authority”.

Pauly's Shorts is an insightful, entertaining and intriguing look through the archives of some never before seen material and classic moments from the king of SBS, Pauly Fenech. The 100 minute featurette follows Pauly as he takes a look back to some of his early short films, including the shorts that got him into the business in the first place, plus unseen, banned and classic moments from Fat Pizza, Swift & Shift Couriers and Housos.

The idea for this special DVD release is fantastic, and quite frankly, I think Pauly deserves a Logie of some description. We see can see that Pauly has strived to make the best content he can that both he, and audience love and enjoy. I must admit, some of the earlier short films (that won some high accolades in various film festivals such as Tropfest) aren't necessarily my cup of tea as I found they just plainly wern't all that funny. But things start to kick off when Pauly's begins to look back on clips from Fat Pizza and Swift & Shift (my absolute favourite project from Pauly) that just goes to show, they are still as funny today as they were when broadcast back in the day.

Pauly also reveals the possiblity for a feature film combining Pizza, Swift & Shift and Housos in one massive production...YES PLEASE! I can't wait for the scene in which all Fenech's characters meet at once...some serious editing skills will be needed there!

Fans of anything Pauly has made before will definitely find this DVD quite interesting and enjoyable as you get to see a glimpse of what made this man the King of SBS!!
